We would like to thank all of our players for their feedback. Not only on the forums but also our Facebook page, Twitter channel and the feedback section on Killzone.com. It is the community who actually improve the online experience of Killzone.
We received a lot of feedback from the community regarding the way the Warzone menu is set up. Therefore, as of today we are rolling out a series of changes in the Warzone menu. With this first phase we are introducing a new official Warzone, which will feature fan favourite Warzones rotating on a regular basis. We will be reducing the number of official Warzones to 24 Player Warzone, 24 Player Team Deathmatch, and the rotating Warzone. This week, it is 24 Player Domination.
This sets us up for phase II, which will focus on user interface improvements to the main multiplayer screen, streamlining for the most popular play styles and making it easy for you to get into a game. This way we want to offer our community much more variation when playing Killzone online.
All previous official Warzones will remain playable, but simply won’t be tagged official, and will also be featured on the official rotating Warzone one by one. If you want to play a different mode that is not available, you can always create your own Warzone at https://shadowfall.killzone.com/
Besides that we are carefully looking at weapon balancing. We got a lot of feedback regarding the StA101 Kameraad and the VC30 Sickle. Therefor we tweaked the following:
- Increase spread of pellets by 15%
- Reduced damage ranges by 50%
- Reduced standing and crouched hip fire spread by 10%
- Reduced maximum moving hip fire spread by 45%
Last week we also patched the Petrusite Grenade. It is now much clearer if a thrown Petrusite Grenade is friendly or foe. A pulsing green indicator shows you it is a friendly thrown grenade, a red pulsating light indicates that the grenade will harm you.
